Sierra Silver Mine Tour: This informative tour starts in downtown Historic Wallace as you board the open air San Francisco style trolley car to transport you to the Sierra Silver Mine. Doning your hard hat and climbing the sturdy steps to the mine portal, one enters the world of the hard rock miner. Your miner guide knows all the ins and outs of this dangerous but necessary mainstay of Amercica's industrial might. The tour winds through the earth for almost an hour on a safe and sure footed pathway. Actual mining equipment and procedures are seen and demonstrated as well as actual mining tales as told by your guide. After the tour, enjoy a narrated tour through the Historic Wallace business and residential district that is the home of century old mansions and businesses carrying the colorful tales of this western mining ghost town that is entirely listed on the National Register of Historic Places. It is a town frozen in time except for its friendly residents and modern day services and amenities.

Crystal Gold Mine: Enjoy the experience of gold mining in the late 1800's in one of the oldest mines in the area in this interesting walking tour. The Crystal Gold Mine was re-discovered in the construction of Interstate 90. Its history pre-dates the rest of the Silver Valley's silver mines enjoying production at the same time as the Murray and Pritchard Gold Fields to the north. Everyone is invited to try their hand at gold panning too.

Mining Heritage Exhibit: Explore the various aspects of what it takes to mine the minerals that has allowed America to enter the Industrial Age and participate in two world wars. Displays show the blasting tunnel, mule hoist, shoring tunnel and much more. The exhibit is located just off Interstate 90 at Exit 61 at the Historic Wallace Chamber of Commerce Visitor's Center.
