The Silver Country 1000 Mile Trail System welcomes motorized riders during all seasons. Whether your favorite season is held by snow or sun, regardless if you ride snowmobiles, 2- or 4-wheelers, there is a great trail and terrain to hit.

Historic Wallace is perfectly situated being surrounded by huge swaths of U.S Forest Service and Bureau of Land Management property so one can ride to their hearts or energies content; or empty gas tank, whatever comes first. There are over 1000 miles of connected trails that take you from wide open roads, along meandering paths or single tracks blasts at your choosing.

From Historic Wallace, one can reach into the mountains of Montana, the towns of Pritchard, Avery, Murray, Mullan, Coeur dŐAlene, Pinehurst, Enaville, Clark Fork, Noxon, Sandpoint and more. The "Wilds" of Shoshone County await your pleasure be it on snow, dirt or gravel.

These wooded byways lead to clear alpine lakes, rugged, rocky mountain tops or quaint small towns complete with welcoming businesses anxious to hear your travel tales and relate a few to you right from the mouths of the friendly residents. North Idaho is known for it clean water, fresh air, comforting sun and small hospitable towns.

Worried about dragging your truck and trailer to different trailheads and the work involved with loading and unloading your machines? DonŐt be! The downtown streets of Historic Wallace and the county roads leading out of town allow registered riders to "get right to the trails" without having to trailer up. Its the quickest way to fun and recreation.
